Investment Accountant IV

Summary:

This position performs complex routine and non-routine accounting work, including the compilation, consolidation, and analysis of investment data and the production of investment-related financial reporting on a GAAP and Statutory basis. This position participates in the investment accounting component of projects to develop or improve systems, processes, and procedures.

Schedule & Location:

This is a full-time position based in Waltham, MA following a hybrid work model. 50% of work is to be completed on-site in Waltham and 50% of work can be completed remotely. Anchor days on-site are Mondays and Tuesdays, weekly.

• Maintain investment accounting for domestic and foreign portfolios within the investment accounting systems and general ledger.
• Perform reconciliations of investment-related data.
• Produce monthly and annual reporting on a GAAP and statutory basis.
• Other tasks as required per business needs.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting. (Other business degree in combination with strong work experience may be considered.)

Highly Preferred Education:

CPA certification is preferred.

Required Work Experience:

3+ years’ experience in accounting/financial reporting.

Highly Preferred Work Experience:

• Professional work experience in the insurance industry.
• Professional work experience in investment accounting.

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated technical skills on various investment and accounting systems.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, non-routine environment.
• Skilled with Microsoft Office (mainly Excel).
• Ability to work within tight deadlines per business needs.

Highly Preferred Skills:

CAMRA or other investment accounting system experience is preferred.

The hiring range for this position is $85,800-$123,300 USD. The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
