POSITION:
Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Loan Officer Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Team Leader, SVP, this role will originate, underwrite and administer Commercial Real Estate loans for the Bank's CRE portfolio.

This role will also maintain an active marketing/calling program, primarily within Cambridge Savings Bank's identified Core Market communities. The intent is to generate new loan and deposit prospects for CRE and referral business for other CSB business lines. Additionally, the CRE Loan Officer will ensure that all credit standards of the Bank are met.

Key Result Areas
  • Identify, maintain, and grow relationships with institutional and middle market real estate companies with a focus on CSB's core geographical area.
  • Work closely and effectively with Treasury Management and other areas of the Commercial Division, as well as other departments of the Bank to deliver the Bank's full suite of products.
  • Collect and analyze financial and related data to establish credit worthiness and/or make recommendations with respect to new loans, negotiate credit terms with customers, existing loan extensions and renewals.
  • Monitor assigned Commercial Real Estate relationships on a continuous basis as to collateral and credit quality as well as supporting Portfolio Management and Credit teams with various ongoing risk management.
  • Resolve Commercial loan delinquencies.
  • Prepare and present well written loan proposals for required approval.
  • Participate in community affairs and professional organizations to increase the Bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
  • Keep abreast of local and national economic, financial, political and legislative events and climates which could have an impact on lending activities.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and customers.
  • Resolve customer problems and/or complaints.
  • Contribute to the effective team management and involvement in Bank programs and initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-10 years of Commercial Real Estate experience with a focus on credit analysis, portfolio management, and deal structuring.
  • Experience with a variety of Commercial Real Estate asset classes.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships both with external and internal clients.
  • Knowledge of regulations concerning commercial real estate lending.
  • Proven PC skills, with a strong working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office products. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.

Hybrid/Waltham, MA Salary Range: $148,500 - $197,000

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Cambridge Savings Bank ranges from $148,500 - $197,000. Cambridge Saving Bank will determine actual compensation for the role based on factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
