ResponsibilitiesJoin our team and make a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities! As a Residential Direct Care Professional
, your responsibilities include:
Implementation of individual service plans, documentation of individual’s progress, continuous evaluation of the appropriateness of the ISP, and specific responsibilities for operation of the household that are designated by the Director of Program Management and Residential House Manager.
- Operational responsibility for implementation of individual’s ISP and collection of data to document progress.
- Report information to Residential House Manager regarding individual and site needs.
- Share in daily operation of household, assuming responsibility for those areas designated by the Residential House Manager.
- Implement the site policy that reflects the individual operational needs of the site.
- Provide direct care coverage when scheduled by the Residential House Manager for all shifts including being awake during overnight.
- Attend all staff development programs deemed appropriate to the specific needs of the site by the Residential House Manager.
- Participate as team member offering feedback and support to peers.
- Participate in supervision by Residential House Manager.
- Participate in self‑evaluation and evaluation of peers.
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Perform necessary duties when requested by the Residential House Manager.
- Carry out one’s job consistent with the agency’s personnel policies and procedures.
- Communicate with families of designated individuals when delegated by the Residential House Manager.
- Establish and maintain communication with day, social and support services for advocate individuals.
Interest in working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Experience or education pertaining to individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Required Skills- Class D Driver’s License
- MAP Certification
- Accepts responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Able to communicate orally and in writing
Residential hours are typically 3p-11p, 11p-9a. DCP’s with a valid driver’s license have the option to work 9a-3p on certain days.
