About Madrigal: Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for non‑alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our first therapy, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), was granted accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adults with NASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (consistent with stages F2 to F3 fibrosis) and is being studied in a Phase 3 trial for the treatment of NASH with compensated cirrhosis.
Role Overview: The Director of Global Content and Training is responsible for the creation and execution of Scientific Content and Training within Madrigal Medical Affairs. The Director will contribute to the Medical Affairs and Scientific Communication Plans that incorporate globalization of content and training. This role reports to the Executive Medical Director, Content and Training.
The Director of Global Content and Training collaborates with Medical Affairs members and is responsible for the development of high‑quality impactful Scientific Content and Training for both internal (e.g., Field Medical, Health Systems) and external (e.g., HCPs) stakeholders that communicates with impact which enables scientific exchange.
Position Responsibilities:Strategic Planning:
- Define and prioritize global scientific content and training needs of internal and external stakeholders, including Health Systems content as applicable.
- Ensure content and training planning is appropriately aligned to Madrigal Medical Affairs and Scientific Communication platforms.
- Execute the global scientific content and training plan for the fiscal year, including strategic alignment with the Medical Plan, detailed tactics, interdependencies, ownership, and budget.
- Create, adapt, and distribute global content across multiple channels to deliver consistent and impactful information for scientific exchange.
- Support the development of comprehensive content and training strategies that leverage omnichannel approaches to enhance engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with scientific communication platform within compliance and practice standards.
- Ascertain scientific accuracy, stakeholder relevance, and appropriateness of the various formats utilized across all the scientific content and training materials.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, Madrigal policies, ethical guidelines, and proper utilization of the escalation process.
- Obtain timely feedback and approval to make adjustments to scientific content and training materials.
- Champion unwavering commitment to scientific rigor and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Create a global scientific training program for field medical, ensuring sessions are impactful, engaging, relevant, and accessible to all team members across regions.
- Craft and deliver scientifically rigorous training modules and toolkits that empower knowledge and engagement.
- Evaluate the impact of training initiatives by analyzing metrics and gathering feedback, ensuring insights are incorporated into updates for scientific training materials.
Skills Required:
- Doctoral degree or equivalent from an accredited institution in a clinical discipline.
- Rich scientific background capabilities derived from experience or clinical practice.
- 5‑7 years headquarters work and/or Scientific Content and Training experience.
- Emphasis on providing leadership through factual evidence gathering influencing and inspiring cross‑functional teams to drive innovation and achieve goals.
- Knowledge of Scientific Content and Communication trends and landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, lead and create scientific content at a global level.
- Ability to interact and strategize with key leadership and stakeholders across the business.
- Preferred:
Knowledge of liver disease and chronic metabolic disease.
- Willingness to travel to conferences, various corporate locations, and stakeholder meetings, including overnight trips.
- Requires up to 30% travel.
