Enterprise Business Applications Analyst

Company Description New England Donor Services (NEDS) coordinates organ and tissue donation in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, the eastern counties of Vermont and Bermuda. It is one of the 55 Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) in the nation’s donation system, working with over 200 hospitals and serving nearly 15 million people in our region. With approximately $140M in operating revenues, NEDS employs 378 clinical and non‑clinical staff throughout New England.

Job Description The Enterprise Business Applications Analyst assists NEDS departments in optimizing workflow processes by implementing and supporting applications tailored to departmental and enterprise needs. Through information technology tactics, this role supports various client departments or workflows across the organization through project coordination, application implementation, validation, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancements, and documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide application implementation support, technical guidance and serve as primary resolution point for all tier 1 and 2 issues regarding assigned applications.
  • Develop and monitor testing scenarios and methodologies, prepare and maintain documentation on testing plans.
  • Perform job functions adhering to service principles: customer‑oriented, service excellence, and teamwork.
  • Work collaboratively with end‑users to understand complex workflows, develop system support, translate business and user needs into system requirement specifications and documentation.
  • Maintain documentation on application configuration and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Evaluate system utilization, audit and performance; participate in system optimization.
  • Develop test plans, document user requirements, create scope documents, facilitate project meetings, apply SDLC knowledge and application support.
  • Manage small to medium‑sized assigned projects or particular phases of larger projects related to application development or deployment with minimal supervision, develop detailed work plans and timelines, identify appropriate resources and provide timely status reports.
  • Oversee all upgrades, maintenance and downtimes for assigned applications and vendor management.
  • Assist with system selection, including build, testing and conversion planning and interfaces.
  • Administer integration of different enterprise applications and platforms using tools like APIs and data connectors; adhere to vendor relationship management strategy and inter‑company communication.
  • Participate and guide the maintenance of user documentation and training procedures; impart information security policies to protect confidential data; perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Interpersonal and communication skills: strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, active listening and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Computer & application literacy: expert in Microsoft Office suite with focus on SharePoint, Atlassian tools, Smartsheets, Zoom, Docu Sign and other corporate business applications.
  • Customer service experience with handling questions, complaints, and resolution follow‑ups.
  • Project management skills: ability to organize and manage projects, adapt to changing priorities, use time‑management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Data analysis: ability to collect, analyze, present data and identify patterns, trends and relationships.
  • Initiative: self‑starter, seeks solutions, makes practical suggestions, anticipates unexpected situations.
  • Workload management: prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment and provide sound recommendations on complex situations.
