Shop Volunteer: Till & Customer Service Helper

Whether you have a few hours or days to spare, volunteering can be extremely rewarding. From learning new skills to meeting new people, we are looking for people who are fun, motivated, and eager to learn new skills.

Till and Customer Service roles:
Help us in our shop by engaging with customers and managing transactions.

No prior experience is necessary; full training will be provided.

Our shops are a significant source of income for The Fertility Foundation, which uses funds to provide grants for couples and individuals in the UK to help them start a family. Volunteers are at the heart of our shops, helping to run them effectively.

• Welcoming and assisting customers warmly
• Explaining and promoting Gift Aid, thanking donors for their contributions
• Raising awareness about our work and charity events
• Sorting, steaming, hanging, and displaying donated stock, following manager guidelines
• Handling customer purchases and operating the till accurately and confidently

Honesty, trustworthiness, respect, enthusiasm, good communication and numeracy skills, reliability, commitment, dependability, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

We aim to be the leading UK charity providing IVF funding and support for those facing fertility challenges. With around 1 in 7 couples affected, we understand the distress and challenges involved. We offer support, guidance, and funding to help individuals and couples on their fertility journey.
