Whether you have a few hours or days to spare, volunteering can be extremely rewarding. From learning new skills to meeting new people, we are looking for people who are fun, motivated, and eager to learn new skills.

We are currently seeking volunteers for our shops, including:

Till and Customer Service roles:
Help us in our shop by engaging with customers and managing transactions.

Typical activities for Till and Customer Service volunteers include:
  • Using the shop till to process payments
  • Promoting Gift Aid to maximize fundraising
  • Assisting and advising customers
  • General shop activities
  • No prior experience is necessary; full training will be provided.

    Our shops are a significant source of income for The Fertility Foundation, which uses funds to provide grants for couples and individuals in the UK to help them start a family. Volunteers are at the heart of our shops, helping to run them effectively.

    Role responsibilities include:
    • Welcoming and assisting customers warmly
    • Explaining and promoting Gift Aid, thanking donors for their contributions
    • Raising awareness about our work and charity events
    • Sorting, steaming, hanging, and displaying donated stock, following manager guidelines
    • Handling customer purchases and operating the till accurately and confidently
    Skills & Qualities Needed:

    Honesty, trustworthiness, respect, enthusiasm, good communication and numeracy skills, reliability, commitment, dependability, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
