Program OverviewThe Care Dimensions Nurse Residency Program is a transition‑to‑practice program for new graduate nurses or experienced nurses who want a meaningful and exciting career in hospice and palliative care. The program focuses on a collaborative professional development environment where nurses can safely develop critical thinking and nursing skills while working with patients in a variety of settings, including home care. Experienced clinical educators, dedicated preceptors, and clinicians support your growth as you transition into a hospice and palliative care nursing career.
ResidencyDetails
Nurse residents will be employed at Care Dimensions during the residency. Upon successful completion, they will begin a full‑time position in Case Management. At the end of the residency program, the resident will become an active member of the interdisciplinary team, working under the supervision of a Clinical Manager and collaborating with the attending physician and other team members to coordinate all aspects of patient care in accordance with current professional standards and practice to maximize comfort and health of patients and families facing a life‑limiting illness.
Following the residency, a commitment to work full‑time for two years is expected.
- Phone Screen
- In‑Person Interviews on a rolling basis
- Ride‑along for half a day / dates to be determined
- The Fall Residency cohort will formally start on Monday, February 2, 2026
- Ongoing, one‑on‑one support from an RN clinical manager, educational team, instructor, and preceptor
- The opportunity to learn and practice complex skills
- On‑the‑job training, in‑classroom learning, and simulation lab training
- New graduates must have their MA RN license by January 23, 2026
Pay Range
: $38,000 – $40,000 USD
Benefits include employer‑sponsored health insurance, paid time‑off, tuition reimbursement, student loan paydown, supplemental insurance options, and more.
