• Inspect gas meters and underground gas lines to detect leaks and corrosion.
• Visually examine the equipment and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
• Arrive on time for shifts and report any unusual findings correctly.

• Schedule:
  
  Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime and weekend work.
• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: $24.00 per hour, with opportunities to earn up to $25.00 per hour based on performance.

• Stand and walk for long periods of time on varying terrain; bend and stoop; and lift heavy items as essential.
• Walk 3 to 4 miles per day on varying terrain in all weather conditions.
• When a leak is indicated, use a 5-pound plunger bar to prepare the ground so an instrument probe can measure natural gas concentration.
• Use simple hand tools.
• Work well in a team and independently.
• Read and understand utility maps.
• Proficient with technology (smartphone, tablet).
• Must pass a drug screen, provide a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.
• CORI background check required.
• Must pass Operator Qualification Test / part of training.
• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Travel is primarily local during the business day; some out-of-area travel and overnight stays may be required from time to time.
