Software Engineer Intern, Platform Security - Summer 2026

The Platform Security team is deeply involved in designing and delivering core security capabilities that power the Pega platform architecture. Security is foundational to building robust, end‑to‑end enterprise applications, and this team leads the way in ensuring that foundation is strong. We focus on building a platform that is secure, leveraging industry‑leading security practices and technology advancements so that clients can build and operate their applications in a secure, trusted environment.

As an intern on the Platform Security team, you’ll actively contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of core security capabilities including encryption, authentication, authorization, and vulnerability mitigation. You will collaborate with experienced engineers who are passionate about building secure, scalable enterprise applications, bringing your curiosity and enthusiasm to real‑world security challenges. You will also apply your understanding of AI tools and concepts to develop innovative solutions in a supportive, agile environment.

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ideally with a focus on cyber security.
• Basic understanding of application security concepts, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Familiarity with security testing tools and techniques, such as static and dynamic analysis or penetration testing frameworks.
• Interest in building secure, resilient systems and applying best practices in software security.
• Basic knowledge of web and cloud technologies, APIs, and databases.
• A motivation to work with a diverse global team on real‑time, impactful projects and initiatives.
