Developer, Java Developer, Software Development

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Waltham, MA. Responsible for developing robust applications using Core Java and modern UI frameworks while ensuring seamless integration with REST APIs.

Rate Range: $44/hour to $45/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer job responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain applications using Core Java and Java UI frameworks such as JavaFX, Swing, or Vaadin.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with back-end services using Spring Framework and MVC architecture.
• Build responsive user interfaces leveraging HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end libraries like React or Angular.
• Optimize application performance and ensure adherence to security best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes within Agile environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Java development and UI frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java and Java UI frameworks (JavaFX, Swing, or Vaadin).
• Hands‑on experience with front‑end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and modern frameworks like React or Angular, plus familiarity with Spring Framework and REST APIs.

Pay Details: $44.00 to $45.00 per hour
