Manager, Software Engineering -Embedded System Architecture - ANI

This position is based onsite in Waltham, MA.

• Own end‑to‑end software architecture
  for embedded Qt‑based applications.
• Develop and maintain system designs, APIs, interface specifications, and design documentation.
• Establish scalable, modular frameworks for complex embedded systems.
• Drive adoption of modern design patterns, testability, maintainability, and performance optimization.

• Manage a cross‑functional team of software engineers, providing leadership, technical guidance, code reviews, and architectural oversight.
• Define technical strategy, evaluate design trade‑offs, and ensure alignment with long‑term product goals.
• Promote high‑quality standards, systematic problem solving, and continuous improvement.

• Lead integration of software and hardware components into embedded Linux (Yocto, Buildroot, or custom Linux).
• Architect and Integrate with hardware abstraction layers, backend engines, and system services.
• Ensure system robustness, resource efficiency, and smooth inter‑component communication.
• Establish and enforce testing strategies (unit, integration, UI, and automated validation).
• Support CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and OTA update systems.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience with at least 5+ years of experience managing a team of software engineers including hiring, performance management and resource allocation.

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in C++,
  Qt/QML
  , and full‑stack embedded application development.
• Strong background in embedded Linux development
  .

• Proven experience (3+ yrs) with technical management of software projects from initial design to final deployment.
• Strong experience prioritizing tasks and directing a team of software engineers working in an agile environment.
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, design and develop system architecture and produce maintainable designs.

Pay range:$170,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience plus 12.5% annual bonus target.
