Senior Engineer

Position: Senior Engineer (Contract)
A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to work on a bridge construction project in North London. This is a long-term role delivering key structural and civil elements of a major infrastructure scheme.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing and delivering engineering works associated with bridge construction, including substructures and superstructures

* Setting out for foundations, abutments, piers, decks, bearings, and associated civils works

* Leading and coordinating site and junior engineers

* Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme

* Preparing, reviewing, and implementing RAMS, ITPs, lift plans, and temporary works documentation

* Liaising with site management, subcontractors, designers, and client representatives

* Ensuring quality control, health & safety, and compliance standards are maintained

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on bridge or major structures projects

* Strong setting-out and technical knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural works

* Competent with surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS)

* SMSTS or SSSTS preferred

* Temporary Works Supervisor or Coordinator experience advantageous

* Valid CSCS card

* Strong leadership and communication skills

Package

* £300 – £400 per day

* CIS or Ltd company payments

* 12-month contract with potential extension

* Immediate or short-notice start
