Our service is run by qualified teachers, who manage andmaintainthehighquality of every learner’s development programme. Our tutorsand mentors are at the heart ofthe operation, delivering these programmes straight to learners. Wework hard to createa supportive and collaborative working environment for ourstaff, whichwe’reproud to say has led to exceptionally high retention rates.

You’ll use your relevant knowledge and experience to deliver bespoke 1:1 mentoring sessions to our learners with SEND, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH.

Session swill always take place during the day,according to fixed timetables,either inalearner’shome or local community venue.

More specifically, you will:

• Use creative, engaging approaches tailored to each learner’s interests, with the purpose of supporting them to re-engage with education and consider their futures.
• Deliver ASDAN Life skills programmes to support the development of confidence and independence in our learners. Find out more about our provision of ASDAN courses here.
• Build positive relationships and foster confidence in our learners.

About You

We’relooking for passionatementorswith the following qualifications,experience and skills:

• Relevant Level 2 qualification OR an equivalent youth work qualification OR very strong professional youth work experience
• At least 2 years of experience mentoring SEN learners, with a track record of promoting engagement and supporting transitions
• The ability to build trust and foster positive relationships with every learner
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and a willingness to complete any mandatory training necessary in this area
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to obtain)
• Ability to travel to learner locations
• Dedication to making a long-term difference in our learners’ lives
• Compassion, patience and resilience
