Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bristol
Job Type: Full-Time, Long Term (5 days a week), Day to Day Supply
Pay Rate: 95 - 110 per day
Job OverviewSupply Staff Ltd is seeking experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across schools in Bristol. The successful candidates will provide dedicated one-to-one support to pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access lessons, develop independence and remain engaged throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities- Provide dedicated one-to-one support to an individual pupil.
- Support access to classroom learning and activities.
- Assist with emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Help pupils develop confidence and independence.
- Follow individual education and support plans.
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff.
- Support pupils during lessons, break times and other school activities.
- Maintain safeguarding and professional standards.
- Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN is required.
- Experience providing one-to-one support is highly desirable.
- Calm, patient and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to support challenging behaviour where required.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Reliable daily pay in line with framework guidelines.
- Dedicated consultant supporting you throughout your placement.
