Healthcare Support Assistant - School Setting (1:1 Role)

We are working with a supportive and inclusive school that is seeking an experienced Healthcare Support Assistant to provide 1:1 care for a learner with high medical needs within the school environment.

This is a vital and rewarding role, supporting a child to access education safely, comfortably, and with dignity, while working closely with teaching staff and healthcare professionals.

The Role:

Provide 1:1 healthcare and personal care support throughout the school day

Support a learner with complex and high medical needs in line with individual care plans

Monitor the child's health, wellbeing, and medical requirements

Administer care as trained and directed by healthcare professionals

Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with school staff and parents

Support inclusion and participation in classroom and wider school activities

The Ideal Candidate :

Experience supporting individuals with complex or high medical needs (essential)

Previous experience in a healthcare, SEN, or school-based setting

Calm, compassionate, and reliable approach

Strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality

Willingness to undertake training specific to the learner's needs

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
