Customer Service & Community Manager – Method Gym, Walton Thames

Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week

Working arrangements: Hybrid, with weekly in-person meetings and a regular presence at the gym.

The Method Gym is an independent, community-led fitness facility focused on helping people build strength, improve fitness and feel part of a welcoming community.

We’re looking for a proactive, organised and commercially minded Customer Service & Community Manager to support our sales, member experience, social media and community engagement.

This is a varied, hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working with people, takes ownership and understands how great customer service, consistent sales follow‑up and strong community relationships help a business grow.

• Sales & Lead Management: Respond to enquiries, make follow‑up calls, manage leads and help convert trial members and introductory offers into ongoing memberships.
• Customer Service: Handle member queries, membership administration and customer communications, helping improve retention and the overall member experience.
• Social Media & Content: Plan and schedule content across social media, capture the personality of the gym and showcase our members, coaches, classes and achievements.
• Community & Events: Build member engagement, coordinate participation in fitness events such as HYROX, and organise community initiatives and challenges.
• Marketing Coordination: Liaise with our external marketing company, coordinate campaigns and ensure leads are followed up and tracked.
• Planning & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, track sales and engagement activity, report on agreed KPIs and identify opportunities to improve performance.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Confidence making sales calls and following up prospective customers.
• A commercially minded, proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
• Confidence using digital systems, spreadsheets, email and social media.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• A genuine interest in fitness, wellbeing and building a positive community.

• Experience in sales, customer service or lead generation.
• Experience creating social media content or managing digital communications.
• Experience coordinating events or community activities.
• Experience with CRM, membership management or reporting systems.
• Previous experience in a gym, fitness studio or service‑led business.

Approximately 20 hours per week on average, with flexibility to work remotely, at the gym or at our sister company’s office. Weekly in-person meetings and a regular presence at The Method Gym are required.
