Quantity Surveyor / Maintenance Surveyor
At Mullen Property Services, we are expanding our commercial team and are looking for an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor / Maintenance Surveyor to join our growing business.
We deliver responsive repairs, planned maintenance, refurbishment and construction services across the housing and private sectors nationwide, with continued growth across social housing and property maintenance contracts, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in pricing and surveying works from enquiry through to completion.
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for surveying and pricing maintenance, and refurbishment works, managing costs, and supporting operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out site surveys and inspections for maintenance, repairs and refurbishment works
- Price works from schedules, drawings and site visits
- Prepare estimates, quotations and cost plans
- Measure works and produces valuations/ Quotations8
- Manage variations and additional works
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and operational teams
- Monitor project costs and budgets
- Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractors
- Produce accurate reports and commercial documentation
- Support delivery teams to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and company procedures
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Maintenance Surveyor or Estimator within property maintenance, social housing or construction
- Strong knowledge of responsive repairs and planned maintenance works
- Ability to read drawings and specifications
- Excellent numerical and commercial awareness
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Experience with in social housing/property services
- Knowledge of Schedule of Rates (SOR) (All Version’s)
- Relevant construction or surveying qualifications
- Experience pricing reactive and planned maintenance contracts
