We are seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education to pupils aged 4-11 in Walton, Surrey. The successful candidate will foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment, assisting with lesson preparation, student engagement, and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities- Support the lead teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group assistance, reinforcing concepts and encouraging participation.
- Supervise pupils during classroom activities, breaks, and excursions, ensuring wellbeing and safety.
- Help maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and behaviour.
- Contribute to the preparation of teaching resources, displays, and classroom organization.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies as required.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics, or relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level
3). - Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a commitment to inclusive practice.
