KBC (A Yokogawa Company) is seeking a proactive, commercially driven Senior Sales Executive with a Chemical Engineering background, or significant experience in the refining, petrochemical, chemical or energy sectors, to develop new business, build strategic client relationships, and win complex consulting and technology opportunities across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa.

We are looking for someone who thrives on opening doors, engaging with C‑suite executives and senior business leaders, identifying opportunities, and shaping solutions to critical operational, commercial and decarbonisation challenges. You will be comfortable building trusted relationships at executive level and closing high‑value consulting engagements that deliver measurable business impact.

What you'll be doing
  • Winning new consulting business within the process industries.
  • Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline through proactive business development activities.
  • Developing relationships with senior decision‑makers across refining, petrochemical and chemical companies.
  • Leading complex sales opportunities from initial prospecting through to contract award.
  • Working closely with KBC's technical and consulting teams to create tailored client solutions.
  • Combining consulting expertise with technology solutions to deliver maximum value for clients.
  • Negotiating commercial agreements and achieving ambitious sales targets.
What we're looking for
  • Proven success selling high‑value consulting, technical or technology solutions.
  • Experience winning new business and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Strong commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with in the refining, petrochemical, chemical or wider process industries.
  • Self‑motivated, resilient and highly proactive in identifying and converting opportunities.
  • Ability to build credibility with both technical and executive‑level audiences.
Preferred

Chemical Engineering degree, or equivalent technical qualification.

Candidates with a Chemical Engineering background and experience selling consulting services into the process industries will be particularly well suited to this role.
