Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 10:00-19:00
Salary: £36,590
Flexibility required to cover holidays, absences, and earlier starts when needed.
Reporting to the Team Manager, you will be responsible for planning and delivering efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transport operations. This includes daily route planning for collections and deliveries, managing drivers, liaising with customers and depots, and ensuring service levels and performance standards are consistently met. You will also support fleet management, driver debriefs, compliance with Working Time Directive and O‑Licence requirements, and maintain strong health & safety standards.
Keyresponsibilities
- Planning daily vehicle routes for collections and deliveries
- Day‑to‑day driver management and debriefs
- Liaising with customers, depots, and subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with transport legislation and internal procedures
- Supporting fleet, driver training, and in‑cab technology
- Providing out‑of‑hours support when required
You will have previous experience as a Transport Planner within a busy pallet or transport environment, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. You’ll be a confident communicator, comfortable working with drivers, customers, and suppliers, and flexible in your approach to meet operational demands.
