You’ll also gain practical, hands-on experience across a variety of settings, including Early Years, Primary, or Secondary (depending on your chosen phase).
** Qualifications Required
** To be eligible to apply, you’ll need:
* A UK bachelor's degree (2:2 or above, although some 3rd class degrees may be considered)
* GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (C) or above (plus Science for primary)
* Right to work and study in the UK, with 3+ years of residency in the UK/EEA* (For employment-based routes) Some relevant school experience and a host school
** Funding & Training Route Options
** We offer both salaried and fee-funded routes.
** Salaried Route (Employment-Based) 10-month course
*** You are employed full-time (32.5 hrs/week) on the Unqualified Teacher Pay Scale
* The school pays tuition fees for QTS
* Option to add PGCE for £500 (trainee-funded)
* For this route, you will need some classroom- based experience of teaching in a school
* You would need a school to employ you as a salaried trainee teacher
** Postgraduate Teacher Apprentice Route (Employment-Based) 10-month course
*** You are employed full-time (32.5 hrs/week) on the Unqualified Teacher Pay Scale
* The training fees are paid by your employer's training levy pot
* For this route, you will need some classroom- based experience in a school.
* You would need a school to employ you as an apprentice.
** Fee-Funded Route
** Unpaid training placement, but eligible for:
* Tuition Fee Loan (up to full cost)
* Maintenance Loan (up to ~£13,000)
* Tax-free DfE bursaries (for shortage secondary subjects) paid directly to the trainee to of set tuition fees.
