Tempest Resourcing are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school in Wandsworth seeking a dedicated British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an entry-level candidate looking to begin or develop a career supporting children and young people with hearing impairments and additional needs.

The school prides itself on its supportive leadership team, inclusive ethos and strong focus on pupil wellbeing and communication development.

The Role:

Supporting students with hearing impairments within a classroom setting

Using BSL to facilitate communication between pupils, staff and peers

Working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to adapt learning materials

Providing 1:1 and small group support

Promoting inclusion, confidence and independence

The Ideal Candidate :

Holds a BSL qualification (Level 1 minimum - Level 2/3 desirable)

Passionate about working within Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Patient, proactive and committed to inclusive education

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Open to entry-level applicants with relevant training or voluntary experience
