The Position – Learning Support Assistant

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working full-time within a primary school setting, providing dedicated support to pupils who require additional assistance with their learning. You may be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping to adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs. Your responsibilities will include supporting literacy and numeracy development, assisting with classroom engagement, and promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies and ensure pupils are progressing both academically and socially. A calm, patient, and proactive approach is essential, along with the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils. Previous experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs would be highly beneficial.
