The Opportunity:

Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support pupils across KS3/KS4 in the Enfield area. This role is perfect for someone passionate about literacy, language, and helping pupils develop strong communication skills. You'll be supporting a wide array of learners while promoting confidence in reading, writing, and spoken English. You'll be joining a very well-established school and team who are committed to creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment.

Your

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small-group literacy support, including reading, phonics, and writing activities
Assist pupils with varying SEND needs, adapting English tasks to suit individual learning styles
Support behavioural, emotional, and social development within the classroom
Help deliver targeted English interventions to boost literacy progress
Assist in creating engaging, structured, and inclusive English learning experiences alongside the teacher
Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, promoting a positive learning culture
Work collaboratively with teachers to monitor progress and tailor support

Requirements:

Background in English is preferred but not essential
Previous experience supporting pupils or working in an educational environment (SEN desirable)
Strong communication, literacy, and behaviour management skills
Enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
Understanding of Safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
