An ambitious and welcoming mainstream secondary school in Battersea is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Biology Teacher to join the Science Department for a one-term fixed-term contract commencing September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, delivering engaging Biology lessons that promote curiosity, academic achievement and a love of science.

The Role

Teach Biology across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications.
Assess, monitor and support student progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Contribute to the wider life of the Science Department and school community.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Have experience teaching Biology to KS3–KS5, including A Level.
Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management skills.
Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers and strong Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with the appropriate experience.
