Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher with British Sign Language (BSL) skills looking to make a genuine difference?
A welcoming specialist school for Deaf children in Wandsworth is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join its highly experienced team. This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a supportive environment where communication, inclusion and pupil achievement are at the heart of everything they do.

The school supports Deaf pupils through a language-rich learning environment and is looking for a teacher with a minimum BSL Level 2 qualification who is committed to helping every child reach their full potential. The Role

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
Support Deaf pupils to achieve academically, socially and emotionally.
Use British Sign Language (BSL) alongside other communication strategies to ensure full access to learning.
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists, Teachers of the Deaf and external professionals.
Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom where pupils feel confident and valued.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Minimum BSL Level 2 qualification (essential).
Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally within a specialist or inclusive setting.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Passion for inclusive education and supporting Deaf learners.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
