A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Balham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full-time, term-time-only basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to become part of a supportive school environment and play an important role in helping children achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will primarily support a Year 3 class, working closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality learning and pastoral support.

The Role - Teaching Assistant

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

Support pupils within a Year 3 classroom.

Work closely with the class teacher to support teaching and learning.

Provide additional support to pupils who may require extra assistance.

Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and academic skills.

Support classroom activities and small-group interventions.

Assist with the preparation of learning resources and activities.

Promote a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant

The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

Has previous experience working within a primary school setting.

Has a genuine passion for supporting children and their education.

Can demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.
