English Teacher Bromley, South London £180–£280 per day, depending on experience Monday 2nd November 2026 Temporary | Full-time English Teacher – The School
· We are recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Bromley, South London.
· The school is committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning, supporting students to achieve their full academic potential.
· This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate English Teacher to teach across Key Stages 4 and 5 within a supportive school environment. English Teacher
– The Role
· Teach English across Key Stages 4 and 5, including GCSE and A-Level.
· Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the relevant curriculum and exam specifications.
· Cover key areas of the English curriculum, including reading, writing, spoken language, and the study of prose, poetry, drama and Shakespeare.
· Prepare students for examinations and support them in achieving their academic targets.
· Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve attainment.
· Use a range of texts and real-world contexts to develop students' comprehension, analysis and written communication skills.
· Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students across a range of abilities.
· Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery and student achievement.
· Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that encourages critical thinking and independent learning. English Teacher – Requirements
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
· Experience teaching English across Key Stages 4 and 5.
· Strong subject knowledge, including GCSE and A-Level English.
· Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
· The ability to plan engaging lessons and adapt teaching to different learning needs.
· A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
