Location: Grove

We are seeking passionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in Kingston- based Primary and Secondary schools. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to create a nurturing and stimulating environment tailored to each child’s individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD /PMLD
Assist with personal care and mobility needs
Support sensory-based learning and therapeutic activities
Promote independence and emotional well-being
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including SENCOs, speech therapists, and physiotherapists
Ensure safeguarding and uphold school policies

Requirements

Experience working with children or young people with PMLD or complex needs
Understanding of SEN strategies and communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton, sensory integration)
Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through us )
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, Moving & Handling) are desirable but not mandatory

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
