Are you ready to take your career to the next level? As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our commercial team, guiding us through the complexities of contract management from tender to completion. You'll be the go-to expert for identifying commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring our frameworks perform at their best.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Manage NEC3/4 and bespoke contracts across multiple projects.
- Lead and develop the Commercial Team, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Identify and notify Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
- Oversee supply chain contracts and agreements.
- Provide accurate cash flow forecasts and manage financial performance.
- Establish and manage monthly project reviews.
- Ensure projects align with financial plans and contractual obligations.
- Handle disputes and defects
- processes with clients and subcontractors.
- Manage invoicing and overdue applications or debts.
- Oversee quotation approvals and ensure contract orders are in place.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQ), measurements, and valuations for applications and final accounts.
- Maintain control of subcontractor accounts and minimize variation costs.
- Develop a monthly senior project review process with the Senior Commercial Manager.
- Assist with pre-tender reviews and attend client progress meetings.
- Communicate effectively across all levels and foster teamwork.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Contribute innovative ideas for continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions.
- Significant experience in managing the commercial performance of projects.
- A strong understanding of various contract forms, especially NEC3/4.
- Proven leadership skills in managing a team.
- Excellent proficiency in, MS
- Excel
- Experience in Civil Engineering and Construction projects.
- Background in managing volume-based projects.
- Car Allowance or Company Car.
