We are looking for a proactive and experienced Safety Director to oversee our company’s safety programs and protocols. The Safety Director will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness, and implementing strategies to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Safety Policies:
Design, implement, and update safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. - Training and
Education:
Conduct safety training programs for employees, managers, and supervisors. Ensure all personnel are well-informed about safety protocols and procedures. - Safety Inspections and Audits:
Perform regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and risks. Recommend corrective actions and follow up to ensure compliance. - Incident Investigation:
Lead investigations into accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures. - Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and maintain emergency response plans. Conduct drills and simulations to test preparedness and improve response times. - Safety Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions. Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory agencies as required. - Safety Culture Promotion:
Promote a culture of safety and awareness throughout the organization. Encourage employee engagement and participation in safety initiatives. - Regulatory Compliance:
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, laws, and best practices related to occupational health and safety. Ensure the company’s policies and practices align with regulatory requirements. - Collaboration:
Work closely with management, department heads, and employees to address safety concerns, implement improvements, and foster a safe working environment.
