Merchandising Assistant Manager – Dollar Tree Stores

Join Dollar Tree Stores as a Merchandising Assistant Manager in Wapakoneta, Ohio. In this role you will partner with the Store Manager to lead a dynamic team, create positive community experiences, and focus on merchandising and freight processing.

Assist with all store functions and day‑to‑day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy and other store communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including restocking bathrooms and sweeping floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Assist the Store Manager with freight receipt, return, and flow management.
• Order and stock merchandise, including frozen & refrigerated items, to productivity standards.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales‑effective items.

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting demands.
