About the Role - CDL Class B Driver

We’re excited to welcome a new CDL Class B Driver to our Orica USA Commercial team! In this role, you will:

• Drive and operate bulk trucks (Mobile Manufacturing Units).
• Install blasting products for our customers at construction sites, mines, and quarries.
• Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of your equipment.

This hybrid role involves approximately 40% driving and 60% physical work, including loading products, pulling hoses, and climbing on and off the bulk truck in various weather conditions. Safety is our top priority, and we strive to conduct all operations responsibly.

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Local driving (1-3 hours)
• Early morning starts (approx. 3 AM – 5 AM)
• 10-12 hours per day
• Overtime may be required
• Up to 10% overnight travel may be necessary

What You Will Be Doing

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Safely hook up and unhook trailers.
• Drive emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and dangerous goods.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings.

What You Will Bring

• At least one year of experience driving and/or handling materials preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations required.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Attention to detail and good math skills for daily inventory management.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements

• Work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Lifting up to 60 pounds and carrying 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to load products, pull large hoses, and climb on/off the truck.
• Frequent bending and squatting required.

Your Qualifications

• Class B CDL required;
  Class A is a plus.
• Tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred (we support obtaining these).
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Compensation

• Hourly Pay Range: $28-34
• Signing Bonus: $4,500

(Salary is determined by your experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.)
