Specialist Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and committed Specialist Teaching Assistant to support children and young people aged 4-16 within a specialist educational setting. This is a full-time role with an immediate start
, working 8.45am to 3.30pm
, Monday to Friday.

You will be working in a highly respected specialist provision set in a calm, rural environment that promotes wellbeing and positive learning experiences. The setting is known for:

Pupils have a range of Special Educational Needs
, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Associated learning, behavioural and sensory needs.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs.
• Assist pupils with learning, emotional regulation and daily routines.
• Support positive behaviour and social development.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff.

• Minimum 6 months childcare experience
  , particularly supporting children with SEN needs.
• Experience with in specialist or SEN settings is highly desirable.
• A patient, resilient and caring approach.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for SEN education.
