Domestic Assistant

20 hours per week, 05:30 am – 09:30 am, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will maintain a high standard of cleanliness in clinical and non‑clinical areas across the hospital, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

• Vacuuming, mopping, damp dusting and general cleaning.
• Cleaning bathrooms, toilets and emptying bins.
• Operating mechanical floor cleaning machines.
• Working as part of a team with a flexible approach and good communication.
• Covering extra hours for sickness and staff holidays.

• Good pay rates.
• 27 days annual leave to start + bank holidays and weekend enhancements.
• Full on‑site training and PPE provision.

• Knowledge of COSHH, induction and ongoing training.
• Level 2 in Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or working towards.
• Level 2 in Housekeeping or working towards.
• Previous experience in a similar cleaning role.
• Knowledge of stock control procedures and methods.
• Basic IT skills.
• Demonstrable written and spoken English to a standard that enables full duties.

• Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, cost covered by the Trust.
• Applicants requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship are not eligible.
