A well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Wareham is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join its busy machine shop team. This is a hands‑on role focused on programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce high‑quality components to tight tolerances.

The role would suit an experienced CNC Turner or CNC Programmer with strong machining capability who is confident working in a fast‑paced production environment and contributing to efficient day‑to‑day output.

As a CNC Turner
, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines.
• Editing programs and carrying out tooling adjustments.
• Performing tool setting and offset adjustments.
• Producing components to tight tolerances.
• Carrying out self‑inspection and quality checks.
• Maintaining a clean and organised machine shop environment.
• Following all health & safety and quality procedures.

• Previous experience as a CNC Turner, CNC Setter or CNC Programmer.
• Experience using Fanuc controls or similar CNC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances.
• Experience with in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• A proactive, reliable and self‑motivated approach.
