The Role

As a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections of precision components and assemblies.
  • Programming and operating CMM equipment, laser trackers and advanced measurement systems.
  • Inspecting components using engineering drawings, CAD models and customer specifications.
  • Creating and maintaining inspection programmes and measurement processes.
  • Analysing inspection results and producing detailed quality reports.
  • Supporting investigations into non-conformances, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Working closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Supporting Material Review Board activities and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring inspection processes, equipment and documentation meet required standards.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a quality inspection role within engineering or manufacturing.
  • Strong CMM programming and inspection experience.
  • Experience using laser tracker systems and inspection software.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and GD&T requirements.
  • Experience with precision measurement equipment and metrology techniques.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • Understanding of FAIR requirements to AS9102 standards.
  • Experience supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • A strong understanding of precision manufacturing processes including milling and turning.
