The Senior Service Technician reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for performing a wide range of HVACR servicing jobs for industrial, commercial, and residential customers.

Customer-based activities involve an individual who is decisive, tactful, dependable, and who possesses initiative and the ability to communicate well with all customer groups. A Senior Service Technician must be able to accurately diagnose and efficiently accomplish a job to the mutual benefit of the customer and Silvia Service Company.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Service Manager in planning, organizing, motivating, controlling and coordinating human and other resources.
  • Lead an ad hoc service team in timely, efficient, profitable accomplishment of assigned jobs.
  • Perform special and complex service jobs without assistance; include periodic on‑call duties.
  • Train Service Department and other employees on service‑related subjects.
  • Conduct quality‑control inspections of service jobs and monitor technical progress.
  • Conduct point‑of‑work sales of Indoor Air Quality services and related products.
  • Develop lead referrals for sales staff.
  • Assist the Service Manager with administration, dispatching, and on‑site evaluation work.
  • Perform related duties as directed by the Service Manager.
Job Qualifications
  • High school graduate and graduate of a post‑secondary HVACR program of at least two years.
  • Five or more years of successful full‑time HVACR experience in commercial service or installation.
  • Good oral and reading skills; ability to read and apply manufacturer instructions and communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Physical ability to perform all duties in varying conditions.
  • Interest in maintaining and advancing HVACR skills through self‑study, training, and workshops.
  • Current state driver's license and ability to operate fleet vehicles within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to be trained in point‑of‑service sales techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure of time, non‑standard schedule, supervision, weather, customer needs, and backlog constraints.

Compensation: $33.00 per hour
