Location: Tobey Hospital - Wareham, MA
Hours: Per Diem
Shift: Flexible shifts and hours, 7:00am - 3:30pm, 3:00pm - 11:30pm, 10:30am - 7:30pm, 3 shifts per month, including weekends and holidays

ResponsibilitiesUnder general direction of the Manager, Patient Access and supervision of the Team Leader, Patient Access or designee, perform a wide variety of duties to facilitate patient access throughout the organization. Ensure patient compliance with applicable hospital policy and obtain accurate patient information to ensure patient safety and optimal reimbursement to the organization in accordance with various external regulations. Determine and actively collect patient liabilities.
Qualifications- Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training required;
Associates Degree preferred. - Medical Terminology Certificate required.
- Demonstrated communication & interpersonal skills are required.
- Strong computer skills including medical based programs required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, and other software programs is preferred.
- Three (3) years related health care experience including working with third party payers is required.
- CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manager) or CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) preferred.
- Medical Terminology Certificate required.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt by signing a statement certifying exemption after hire.
Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
Pay RangeUSD $16.55 - USD $27.78 /Hr.
Rotation Schedule Requirement3 shifts per month, including weekends and holidays
