Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Athena Health Care Systems

Athena Health Care Systems is seeking dedicated CNAs to join our dynamic care team at The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham. Full‑time and part‑time openings are available on all shifts. Pay ranges from $26.00 to $29.00 per hour, with shift differentials included.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Must possess an active, unencumbered CNA license in Massachusetts, be in the process of obtaining one, or have recently completed a CNA program.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • New graduates are welcome.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
  • Participate in planning and following the current resident care plan for all residents under your care.
  • Complete resident assignments effectively and promptly.
  • Observe changes in resident conditions and promptly report them.
  • Document accurately and completely.
  • Meet personal grooming needs for each resident.
  • Promptly respond to call lights and ensure all are within reach of the resident.
  • Maintain clean, orderly care areas.
  • Ensure residents are properly identified (e.g., ).
  • Apply correct safety techniques per Athena’s orientation and training.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Specific Requirements
  • Knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies.
  • Excellent reading, writing, speaking, and understanding of English.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
  • Effective communication with personnel, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with professional and non‑professional personnel.
  • Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm for handling difficult residents.
  • Willingness to explore new methods and integrate them into nursing practices.
  • Effective communication regarding emergency situations.
