Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

As a Guest Advocate, No Two Days Are Ever The Same, But a Typical Day Will Most Likely Include The Following Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks
- Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
- Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
- Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up
- Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Explain and demonstrate features in the Target App (including Wallet)
- Understand Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering; assist guests to enroll, activate and use these features
- Handle returns according to policy and escalate to leadership as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and replenish supplies as needed
- Support guest services such as order pickup, Drive Up orders and returns while complying with applicable laws
- All other duties based on business needs
- You enjoy interacting and helping others – guests and fellow team members
- You thrive in a fast-moving, active and physically demanding role with teamwork and flexibility
- You are open to a flexible schedule (including nights, weekends, holidays and peak times)
The Good News There is training to help you learn what you need to know to be a Guest Advocate. Some pre-existing skills that help include:
- Effective communication with positive language and attentiveness to guests' needs
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Attention to detail and task prioritization
- Ability to educate guests about products and services
- Ability to use handheld scanners and other technology; work independently or in a team
- Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Accurately handle checkout operations and, as needed, cash office tasks
- Scan, stock and move merchandise safely; lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
- Comfort working in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)
