The RoleWorking within our manufacturing facility, you will be involved in the operation, setup and maintenance of ABB Robotic welders and the fabrication and welding of agricultural machinery to the highest standards. You’ll work from technical drawings, use your own initiative, and contribute to maintaining the quality that Slurry Kat is known for.
Key Responsibilities- Fabrication and welding of agricultural machinery and components.
- Operation of a ABB Robotic Cell, producing high quality assemblies.
- Maintenance of a ABB Robotic Cell.
- Modifying and updating positions for effective and high-quality welds.
- Basic movements and operational error clearance.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and dimensions.
- Working efficiently within a busy manufacturing environment.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Adhering to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Supporting production targets while maintaining product quality.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maximise productivity.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in welding and robotic welding cells.
- 2 years’ experience with ABB Rapid programming language.
- 2 years’ experience with basic robotic controls, movement and jogging.
- Experience with Fronius CMT Pulse or other pulse welders beneficial, but not essential.
- Good understanding of robotic fixtures and attachments.
- Ability to confidently read and work from technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work as part of a team to be an integral part of the production team.
- Flexible approach to working hours when required.
Forklift licence beneficial, but not essential.
