We are currently recruiting on behalf of a long-established and independent accountancy practice seeking to appoint an experienced Practice Accountant to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys a broad and varied role and is looking to join a professional, supportive and personable working environment.

The firm operates with a traditional, client-focused approach and is seeking someone who is happy to take a hands‑on role across all areas of the practice, including supporting wider administrative functions when required.

• Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Personal and corporation tax work
• Client liaison and ongoing client support
• Assisting with payroll duties where required
• General office and practice administration

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
• AAT / ACA / ACCA part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience
• Comfortable working within a smaller practice environment
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• A flexible and proactive approach
• Ability to manage a varied workload independently
• Strong communication and client‑facing skills

This position would particularly suit someone who enjoys the variety and responsibility that comes with working in a smaller traditional independent practice.
