Care and Support – Longbridge Deverill House & Nursing Home, Bristol.

• Salary: £12.50 per hour
• Shift Type:
  Days (7.30am – 2.30pm & 2.00pm – 8.00pm, alternate weekends)

• 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time contract only)

• Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, encourage positive choices, promote independence.
• Personalised Care: Follow and support each resident’s care plan, providing hands‑on help and thoughtful attention.
• Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns to Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, assist with calls to relatives or professionals.
• Champion Dignity: Uphold dignity and respect, ensuring residents feel valued.
• Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm environment.
• Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeeping to maintain safe, clean, comfortable spaces; respond quickly to emergencies.
• Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help eating and drinking.
• Spread Smiles: Bring joy to residents’ lives and make them smile every day.

• Qualifications:
  
  SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Ideally at least 6 months as a Care Assistant; passion and transferable skills also welcomed.

  Genuine interest in caring for the elderly, committed to delivering excellent service.
