About the role
Our Tesco colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour, increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with flexible options down to 12 hours.
The availability windows we would like you to be available for:
- Tue: 17:30 – 23:00
- Thu: 09:00 – 16:00
- Fri: 05:30 – 12:00
- Sat: 18:00 – 23:00
We schedule your contracted hours within these windows and will give you three weeks' notice of exact shifts. We support flexibility and will consider applicants whose availability closely matches but does not exactly align with our advertised times.

Responsibilities- Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride, giving great natural service.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
- Work across the store in service, picking, and replenishment areas where required.
- Apply the training received to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
- Make customer‑centric decisions and deliver routines that meet customer needs on time.
- Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand the store’s performance, contribute to service and sales, reduce waste, shrink and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Live the values and make everyone feel welcome while following policies.
- At times, you may be required to accept deliveries into the store.
- A passion for delivering great service and greeting customers with a smile.
- The ability to build rapport with customers so they leave with a great shopping experience.
- The initiative to make decisions that are right for customers.
- Team‑oriented, communicating openly with colleagues.
- Build relationships to create team spirit, having fun and celebrating success.
- Be punctual, well presented and ready to act as the brand ambassador.
