Reach and Counterbalance Operative

Location: Near Warminster
Pay: £14.00 per hour basic + enhanced overtime and weekend rates
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am starts

IMPORTANT:
Applicants must hold valid Reach AND Counterbalance forklift licences/certificates. Candidates without both licences will not be considered for this role.

Driver Hire Shepton Mallet are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse & Forklift Operative to join a busy and established operation based near Warminster.

This is a full-time permanent position offering reliable Monday-to-Friday hours, competitive rates of pay and the opportunity to become part of a friendly, hardworking warehouse team.

The successful candidate must be qualified and experienced in operating both Reach and Counterbalance forklifts, as the role requires regular use of both.

You will play an important part in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, carrying out a combination of forklift and general warehouse duties.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating Counterbalance forklifts
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely
• Moving and organising stock within the warehouse
• Checking stock levels and assisting with stock control
• Preparing goods and orders as required
• General warehouse duties
• Manual handling and lifting
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Working closely with the wider warehouse and logistics team

• Monday to Friday
• 7:30am start
• Typical finish around 5:00pm, depending on workload
• Additional overtime may be available
• Weekend work may also be offered at enhanced rates

• Basic Rate: £14.00 per hour
• Overtime: £16.50 per hour
• Saturday: £15.50 per hour
• Sunday: £19.00 per hour

You must meet all of the following requirements to be considered:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence/certificate – ESSENTIAL
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse and forklift experience
• Previous experience operating both Reach and Counterbalance forklifts
• Confidence working in a busy warehouse environment
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety
• Comfortable completing manual handling and physical duties
• Reliable with good timekeeping
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
