All classified positions strengthen the delivery of instruction to support the district mission statement. This position recruits program participants, provides supplemental educational and support services to English Learner children.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Works cooperatively with all personnel to support an effective educational program for English Learners.
- Collaborates with classroom teachers to support English Learners with academic content.
- Involves parents of English Learners in the education of their children by effectively communicating curriculum and assessments.
- Encourages parent participation in school parent involvement activities specific to limited English proficient students and immigrant children and youth.
- Facilitates supplemental support services as needed to enable English Learners to enroll, attend, and participate in school.
- Facilitates educational programs for parents and communities of limited English proficient students and immigrant children and youth.
- Attends and participates in all required training and meetings.
- Completes and submits all required reports in a timely manner.
- Serves as liaison between parents of English Learners and Central Registration.
- Performs other duties as requested by the Director of Federal Programs.

Experience:
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree, 90 quarter hours or 60 semester hours of approved college courses. - Certificate or License
Required:
Completion of Professional Interpreter in Education Certificate Program preferred within first year of employment. - Language
Skills:
Must be bilingual (English and Spanish) and have ability to read and comprehend job‑specific technical information, short correspondence, memos and position‑specific manuals; must write clear correspondence and reports and present information effectively in one‑to‑one and small‑group situations. - Mathematical
Skills:
Must add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure; conduct relevant data analysis; compute rates, ratios and percentages; interpret bar graphs. - Reasoning Ability: Facilitate problem‑solving processes, synthesize workable options and develop solutions.
- Technical Ability: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other specified technologies.

Skills:
Interact effectively with colleagues, administrators, teachers, staff, students; display a cooperative and service‑oriented attitude.
Professional Requirements: Must serve as a role model to students. Appropriate dress and grooming consistent with established standards required.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to walk, stand, lift (up to 50 pounds); occasional crouching or kneeling.
Work Environment: Frequent travel to home sites, school sites, and other locations; exposure to traffic and outdoor elements; moderate noise level.
Confidential Data Exposure: Position involves exposure to confidential data; confidentiality must be maintained regarding financial and personal information.
Additional Requirement: Must be on time, meet attendance standards, conduct activities safely, and be reliable and dependable in fulfilling job duties.
Position Type: Full‑Time
Salary: $16.70 to $26.20 Per Hour
