We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, providing high-quality images to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a patient-centered approach to ensure optimal care and comfort during procedures.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal exams, based on physician orders.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring proper positioning and technique.
  • Prepare and educate patients about the procedure, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring their comfort.
  • Review and evaluate images for clarity, quality, and diagnostic value, making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and provide accurate diagnostic support.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including exam documentation and imaging results, in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in compliance with safety and infection control standards.
  • Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques to provide the best care possible.
  • Adhere to all hospital, departmental, and regulatory policies, procedures, and standards, including HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Current certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent credential (e.g., RVT, RDMS).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience

  • 1-3 years of clinical ultrasound experience preferred but not required.]
  • Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and knowledge of various sonographic procedures.
Skills And Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to assess and respond to patient needs during imaging procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, assist patients, and operate imaging equipment.
Key Physical And Mental Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 50 pounds of force
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or machinery
  • Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
  • Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
