About the Position: This position is located at 78th Medical Group at Robins Air Force Base, Houston County, Georgia. It is located near the city of Warner Robins, Georgia.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Duties- Direct programs and activities of Public Health and Occupational Health within the Medical Treatment Facility, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, developing goals and objectives, and liaising with other organizations and/or customers.
- Develop Public Health policies and procedures that support Public Health missions, making recommendations to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of work.
- Conduct supervisory functions such as planning/assigning work and deadlines, preparing schedules, evaluating employee performance, handling grievances or minor disciplinary actions, identifying training needs, and selecting candidates for vacancies.
- Oversee funding management to identify requirements and initiate requests for additional resources, personnel, overtime, equipment, supplies, and space.
- Solve customer problems by researching issues, creating reports, and recommending appropriate action.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Tuberculin (TB) test is required.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
