Senior Pastor

Green Acres Baptist Church (GABC) in Warner Robins, Georgia, is prayerfully seeking a full‑time, ordained Senior Pastor to serve as the under‑shepherd of our congregation. We are looking for a spiritually mature, tested man of faith who will lead us in fulfilling our mission as a New Testament church.

The Opportunity

Responsibilities

• Preach and teach the Word of God at all regular and appointed times of worship.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the pastoral staff, deacons, and ministry leaders.
• Shepherd and counsel church members, leading in ordinances (Lord’s Supper, baptisms), and conducting special services (funerals, weddings, dedications).
• Focus on continued growth for church membership through organized outreach and visitor contact processes.
• Be a role model for all members by maintaining a vibrant personal worship life and continued biblical education.

Essential Qualifications

• Biblical Requirements:
  Must meet the biblical qualifications for an overseer as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1‑7.
• Ordination:
  Must be an ordained minister.
• Education:
  
  A Master’s degree from an accredited seminary.
• Doctrine:
  Must agree with the Baptist Faith and Message (amended 14 June 2023) approved by the Southern Baptist Convention.
• Experience:
  
  A minimum of 5 years of experience in a ministerial position.
• Availability:
  Must be able to commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week, with 24/7 availability for congregational needs.
